Commodity Watch: Aluminium Futures Rise On Fresh Bets

New Delhi: Aluminium prices on Thursday rose 45 paise to Rs262.10 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in April increased 45 paise or 0.17 per cent to Rs262.10 per kg in 1,375 lots.
Zinc futures rise on high demand
Zinc prices on Thursday grew 35 paise to Rs276.50 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded higher by 35 paise or 0.13 per cent at Rs276.50 per kg with a business turnover of 959 lots.
Copper futures gain on increased participation
Copper futures rose 0.29 per cent to Rs915.30 per kilogram on Thursday on the back of higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for April delivery grew Rs2.65 or 0.29 per cent to Rs915.30 per kg in a business turnover of 4,871 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
